ROSE
By
Chief Swift Eagle

What beauty in the rose's face.
Soft petals form sweet lips
To kiss the morning dew
As it glistens into drips.

Fragrance greets the viewer
From the heart of blossom sent
The vines entwine white lattice
Young lovers are content.

The rose is good cheer to the sick.
And comfort to the grieved.
When you send a rose,
Your love will be received.

What beauty in a rose's face.
The bud to blossom grows.
The flower we most cherish,
Is the soft and lovely rose.
