RAPID TRANSITION
By
Chief Swift Eagle
I'll ride into the sunset
Aboard the urban bus.
If I am never seen again
Do not make a fuss.
Perhaps you're getting
Panicky just a bit too soon.
I probably lost my zone fare
And just have been marooned.
Twenty miles from nowhere,
This was a regular route
On urban bus a passenger
Is explorer, guide and scout.
They give you maps and numbers.
"Exact change or you hoof it."
You can't complain if you must stand
You're Lucky they did roof it.
Rapid transit is a joke.
Officials inefficient and lazy.
The only thing rapid about the bus
Is that it's rapidly driving me crazy
