Note with regard to Reputation: Though not litigious by nature, I will sue anyone who slanders or libels my excellent reputation for $10,000,000.00 because my reputation is important, as is anyone's, for my continued Service to the World Community. Individuals will be sued individually and any company for which they work will be sued if the person used company e-mail and time to defame me. Companies are responsible for the actions of their employees and for the supervision of their employees' actions while on the job.

Owners of websites and servers will be sued if they allow libel to be posted on their sites. The owners of sites are re-publishers of the defamation. Bulletin Board sites, even if they require membership, are publishing all information posted on their sites. Individuals who send e-mails containing defamatory statements will be held personally liable even if they try to use disclaimers that they are not the original publishers. Re-publishers are equally liable. Individuals who have any doubts about information that they have published about ITU, the Church or about me should contact their attorneys immediately, show the attorneys the publications and my pages with credentials to determine if they may be sued.

Some individuals, on the internet, have behaved in very irresponsible ways toward the University, toward the Church and towards me and the threat legal action was necessary before they apologized and retracted their lies.

This page offers ample evidence of my reputation and links are provided to documents showing the truth of my statements. The documentation is provided to head off unjustified attacks from self-appointed critics. Attackers that hold the Tribe, the University, the Church, me, or my Office as Archbishop up to ridicule will be sued. Attackers who accuse the Tribe, the University, the Church, me, or my Office as Archbishop of committing any Crime will be sued. Attackers who use innuendo and mockery will be sued. What Are Defamation, Libel and Slander?

Generally speaking, defamation is the issuance of a false statement about another person, which causes that person to suffer harm. Slander involves the making of defamatory statements by a transitory (non-fixed) representation, usually an oral (spoken) representation. Libel involves the making of defamatory statements in a printed or fixed medium, such as a magazine or newspaper.

Typically, the elements of a cause of action for defamation include:

A false and defamatory statement concerning another;
The unprivileged publication of the statement to a third party (that is, somebody other than the person defamed by the statement);
If the defamatory matter is of public concern, fault amounting at least to negligence on the part of the publisher; and
Damage to the plaintiff.

In the context of defamation law, a statement is "published" when it is made to the third party. That term does not mean that the statement has to be in print.

Damages are typically to the reputation of the plaintiff, but depending upon the laws of the jurisdiction it may be enough to establish mental anguish.

Most jurisdictions also recognize "per se" defamation, where the allegations are presumed to cause damage to the plaintiff. Typically, the following may constitute defamation per se:

Attacks on a person's professional character or standing;
Allegations that an unmarried person is unchaste;
Allegations that a person is infected with a sexually transmitted disease;
Allegations that the person has committed a crime of moral turpitude;

libel per se: broadcast or written publication of a false statement about another which accuses him/her of a crime, immoral acts, inability to perform his/her profession, having a loathsome disease (like syphilis), or dishonesty in business. Such claims are considered so obviously harmful that malice need not be proved to obtain a judgment for "general damages," and not just specific losses.

Respectful Suggestion to NASA February 1, 2003: Use the Russian Re-entry Sphere as the Cockpit for the Space Shuttle. The outward appearance and shielding would be the same. In the event of a disaster on re-entry, the exterior shielding and entire shuttle would break up. The Russian Sphere would survive the break up and take over as the re-entry vehicle. The Russian Sphere is designed to enter the atmosphere at high speeds and then to hard land on the surface.
