AEROSOL MENTALITY
By
Chief Swift Eagle
Why do people write on walls?
They like to see their names.
They like to shout, "World, here I am!"
They love to scrawl their claims.
Why do people write on walls?
It makes them feel so tall.
Their ten foot letter effigies
Reflect that they are small.
Why do people write on walls?
Does it feed their aerosol egos?
To advertise on ghetto concrete
Where not a single tree grows.
The sum of their lives in a 4 oz. can.
They spray out bit by bit
The depth of their personalities
Is described in what they've writ.
Bleeding hearts point to the walls
And list quite lame excuses.
They blame society and mankind
For the ghettos many abuses.
I say, "Blame the projects' punks,
The vandalism doer."
'Cause every time he sprays a wall,
He's building us a sewer.
