Traditional University Program
General Information
Refund Policy: No refunds will be made of tuition that has been paid after the tuition was due. Tuition is due within 30 days after a student is accepted by the University. Students who fail to pass courses or who are expelled "for cause", are not entitled to a refund of tuition. Students who fail to complete courses of study are not entitled to a refund of tuition.
Exceptions to Refund Policy: Tuition that is paid in full may, at the University's discretion, be refunded, less a ten percent processing fee, if the Candidate dies, is unable to continue due to medical problems or suffers a tragic financial catastrophe. Other cases will be decided on a case by case basis. Generally we do not want tuition from individuals who do not wish to obtain a degree.
No Exception to Refund Policy: There are no refunds of tuition once Degrees and Transcripts have been issued to graduates of the university.
Free Use: Individuals who do not wish to seek a degree may use all of the links provided by the University at no charge. Education is and should be free to all as a Right.
Graduation Ceremony: All Degrees are awarded by mail. Our students are located in many different geographic areas and a single ceremony would not be practical. We encourage individuals to hold a ceremony at a convenient banquet room among friends. An appropriate gown may be purchased or rented for the occasion.
Inter-Faith University: International Theological University is an Inter-Faith University and may Ordain Clerics in their own particular Faith and Religious Study.
ORDINATION AS AN INDEPENDENT MINISTER
Graduating Students, who request it, will be Ordained Independent Ministers. Credentials will be issued for such Ordination. Individuals who have been Ordained Ministers may marry, bury, sanctify, bless and are granted all of the rights and responsibilities of a priest, rabbi or minister. All States, the Federal Government, Churches, Prison Systems, Employers and the Military recognize and respect ministers who have been Ordained by our Church and Tribe. Ordained Ministers are not agents for or Ministers of the Western Federation Church and Tribe or the International Theological University. Ordained Ministers are independent and may form their own congregations anywhere in the World.
CONSECRATION AND/OR ORDINATION AS:
ROMAN CATHOLIC DEACON, BROTHER, NUN OR PRIEST
ORTHODOX NATIVE AMERICAN DEACON, BROTHER, NUN OR PRIEST
RUSSIAN ORTHODOX DEACON, BROTHER, NUN OR PRIEST
OLD AMERICAN CATHOLIC DEACON, BROTHER, NUN OR PRIEST
MEXICAN NATIONAL CATHOLIC DEACON, BROTHER, NUN OR PRIEST
ANGLICAN/EPISCOPAL DEACON, BROTHER, NUN OR PRIEST
Candidates for any of the above Ordination/Consecration may request Ordination/Consecration as a Religious Worker after the appropriate course of study for their Required Degrees. Individuals who wish to be Ordained a Priest must complete a Doctoral Degree, submit fingerprints and pass a comprehensive background check. All Candidates for the Priesthood will have to completer a two year Mentorship with an approved Priest and Bishop. Orthodox Native American, Russian Orthodox, Old American Catholic, Mexican National Catholic and Anglican/Episcopal Priests need not take Vows of Poverty or Chastity. We encourage Priests to marry and to have children. Ordination is through the Traditional Laying on of hands, by the Resident Native Archbishop, to pass on the Apostolic Succession. Candidates will have to travel to California for Ordination. Newly Ordained Priests will be independent of any Church and free to begin their Missions anywhere in the world.

The Truth About A University Degree - No Guarantees for Your Success - Notice: Graduation from a university does not guarantee that a person will be able to secure a particular job, attend a particular medical, law or dental school or a graduate school in a related or in an unrelated field of study. Students should major in areas of study that will facilitate admission to the graduate program of their choice. Each student must focus on taking classes that will provide the needed preparation for the graduate course of study desired. Students who study Arts and Letters as undergraduates may not be adequately prepared for Medical or Dental School. Students who study Theology may not be adequately prepared for Engineering or Accounting. All students should determine for themselves if a degree from the particular university, and in their area of study, will meet their needs for career advancement and/or vocation prior to attending the university.
Admission to a graduate school is controlled by the Admissions Committee of the accepting graduate school. Admissions Committees review all of an applicant's credentials. Current degrees, resume, letters of recommendation, income, family responsibilities, potential for successful completion of the degree program, attitude, personal appearance, writing sample, racial mix, gender, age, athletic ability, oral communication skills, undergraduate school attended, Graduate Record Exam Score and/or other graduate level test scores may all be considered. A degree from a particular University or College does not guarantee acceptance into any graduate program. Students who attend UCLA or Stanford as undergraduates are not guaranteed a place in any UCLA or Stanford Graduate School. Many students are surprised when students from other schools are put ahead of alumni by Admissions Committees.
Education is only a part of a quality resume. Employers are interested in your degree(s) but they are equally interested in your attitude, personal appearance, writing sample, racial mix, gender, age, athletic ability, oral communication skills, family situation, credit history, work history and ability to adapt and/or learn.
Some jobs require that you hold a Degree from a Regionally Accredited University. However, a Degree from a Regionally Accredited University does not guarantee that you will get the job. International Theological University is not Regionally Accredited and ITU's Degree may not serve you if a Regionally Accredited Degree is Required. A Regionally Accredited Degree is usually required for teachers in Public Schools, for many State jobs and for many jobs that require State Licenses. Regionally Accredited Degrees are not normally required in Business, for self-employment, for Religious Workers, Ministers, Clergy, Politicians, or for many other occupations.
A degree, by itself, does not assure success. A degree opens doors that allow you to demonstrate your ability and worthiness for opportunities, promotion, pay increases and other benefits. A degree is only valuable if it is used by the holder.
A degree does give the World Notice that you are an intelligent person of quality. A degree opens the door for many jobs and opportunities that are only open to individuals who have a degree as a prerequisite to the position. A degree raises the anticipated salary that an employer expects to pay to an individual. A degree separates candidates for the same job or opportunity from each other in the estimation and esteem of an employer and the world. A degree commands instant respect for its holder.
