International Theological University is invited to participate in the First Convocation of the Sapientiadi Sport and Culture World Meeting of Universities which will take place in Rome, Italy, to mark the occasion of the VII Centenary of the Foundation of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" His Holiness Pope Giovanni Paul II will have an audience with the Participants and open the Games.
There is a new schedule of activities (June 27, 2003)
Dear Chancellor:
We
wish to inform you that due to the size of the event and to the high number of
universities, the programme of the Sapientiadi has been organized
following the subsequent calendar:
19th
of July:
Young universities meeting with the Holy Father in Castel Gandolfo. Start of
the relay- race with the torch. The relay-race
will touch the 18 universities in Rome.
October
2003 – January 2004
: Opening respectively of an exhibition and a convention.

International Theological University is invited to participate in the
First Convocation of the Sapientiadi Sport and Culture World Meeting of Universities July 20th - 26th which will take place in Rome, Italy, to mark the occasion of the VII Centenary of the Foundation of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" His Holiness Pope Giovanni Paul II will have an audience with the Participants and open the Games.
Eligibility
Current students and Alumni of International Theological University are invited to review the events and to register to represent the University with their participation. Individuals who choose to participate in this Historic Celebration will receive Honors for themselves and reflect well on International Theological University.
Individual trophies and/or awards will be retained by the participant. Awards to the University will be displayed on the Internet and in the Administrative Offices.
International Theological University has students in all parts of the world. Participants representing ITU will be allowed to participate as individuals or they may form themselves into spontaneous teams when allowed by the venues in Rome. This is a Celebration and the focus is on fun and participation.
All students must pay their own expenses. University identification and verification of Alumni, Graduate or Undergraduate status will be provided by e-mail to participants. Make your request as early as possible.
We received our invitation on June 20, 2003. We posted the information the same day. E-Mail Notices are being sent to all students and alumni as quickly as our staff can process the traffic.
